Create a Wedding Reception Style That Shouts “Me and Him!”

Second-hand rose? DIY enthusiast? We love wedding planners for saving brides stress and getting the job done! However, creating your own wedding reception decor can be a fantastic way to save money and shine a light on your own style.

Don’t know the difference between decoy and decor? No worries. We’ve provided a little wedding reception inspiration to help get you started!

Consider your space. Is the room gorgeous on its own? Play that up with classic simplicity. Long tables and low flowers are elegant without being fussy. For colors, think classic white and other neutrals, like gold -- it’s the new beige!

This ceiling is a show stopper, but there is still room for fun details -- like glittery DIY table numbers.

These glass terrariums are a beautiful alternative to flowers. (And they last a lot longer.)

Celebrating in the great outdoors? The same rules apply. Work with, not against, the beauty of your environment.

We love these benches made from tree stumps.

Think outside the box -- or plate -- and use the entire venue to help you set the mood. Not just the table.

These fork place-card holders, housed in the reception area, add flair and are a great guest takeaway.

Other places to show your style? Try the bar, the gift table and sweet table.

We love this serve-yourself bar. Plus, no more “is this my glass” worries!

Make sure your wedding photographer gets a few shots before your guests dig into this deliciousness.

Games can be a great way to keep guests engaged during cocktail hour. (Especially if you and yours are busy with the wedding photographer.)

We love this wine-bottle ring toss.

It’s your day. Have fun creating a decor that says “Me and Him.”
